Slightly Physical Magic, And A House Of Mysteries

We moved in nearly a full week ago (it's only like twelve hours short as of posting this), and this house has had some interesting surprises. The first thing I noticed was a curse that seemed to cower and show genuine fear when I went to kill it during one of the last tours of the house we did (it seemed incredibly weak so I was gonna just kill it quickly as I walked by), and I noticed there seemed to be a weirdly large presence from the curses here, and then after moving in I had those nightmares and the lights going out which I wrote about just a few days ago, and then as I was talking to my mother about all of this the smoke alarm goes off with two beeps and then nothing at all (the timing is odd but not conclusive), then when my partner came over we watched a light go out, which came back on as soon as I caught the curse nearby (timing was so precise there's no alternative explanation).

I've killed quite a few curses, and I've fought quite a few, but the closest I've ever experienced was when a curse seemed to cut me very slightly a while ago. Nothing has ever fucked with a light, or done anything close to what has happened here.

We also found a bowl that the previous owners used for spells of some sort, which is a rather funky find. Surprised it stayed, but it does seem useful. That along with the knife I found, and it seems like we're just getting the tools we'll need.

I'm very tired so this post is not as good as the others, but I wanted to write it down now before I had the chance to forget this. Hope I'm not too hard to understand in this one. I'm happy to clarify and answer questions though (and I'll have gotten more sleep by then).
