Seemed Like Something Was Training Me, Domains, And A General Update

Once I had killed most if not all of the curses in the house, I started having this weird thing when I went to bed where I'd sense something trying to stab or crush me in different ways. I think I talked about a spike before, and it's similar to that.

It's continuously escalated as time has gone by. From one spike to a few different things, like a big wedge, and I think some smaller spikes too (I should have been writing this all down the morning after each event). Eventually I became surrounded and attacked with a high amount of all of them. With that increased amount of everything, I started getting a better picture of what was around me.

The spikes and things were being direct towards me by metallic looking beings that seemed to have green accents. They were humanoid, and about my size I think. It's really hard to tell sometimes, but this was consistent over multiple nights so I think I'm right.

At first the spike was something I couldn't stop no matter what techniques I tried or what barriers I put up, but over time I started to adapt. Somewhere in the middle of this I figured out how to nullify the attacks by expanding the my area of influence and changing the rules of it just enough that it prevented the attacks from landing or affecting me.

A week, or two ago I rewatched JKK and got weirdly interested in domains. I looked at the definitions to better understand exactly what it was, and I looked at a tiny bit of information about it in the anime, then I tried to figure out the mechanics of how it would work for me. I never really figured it out, and I assumed it was something that might make more sense or be easier in the future, but at least it was in my head enough to maybe come up later, and that's what happened.

The expansion of my influence during that attack was certainly not the creation of a space where I have absolute authority that a full domain would have, but it was definitely pointing in that direction and shared some characteristics of a domain.

I think that when I had first gotten super interested and figured out the correct definitions to use, I had thought that an area where I set the rules made the most sense, but I couldn't figure out what the rules to those rules would be. I also hadn't figured out how this would compete with another domain or attacks so strong they sort of influence the rules, but generally it would be a set of rules confined to a certain space.

Somewhere during this I had also started doing some major output training that ended up majorly increasing my output and control. It wore me out for like a week and a half, but once it was over I could feel that my output was way way better.

All of this built up to the night before last, where as I slept I heard music start to play. It sounded like something that might play in a fight against a vampire, and it was unique. In my interpretation of whatever was there, I composed and played the beginning of a song in my head. After a minute I started to wake up because I sensed something strong above me. It wasn't strong in the sense that it was tough, but in the sense that it could hurt me.

The instant I woke up I began to try and push everything out to fight this thing which felt so strong. Just before I opened my eyes I had an oddly clear vision of a face which resembled a vampire, though it was oddly anime-ish in style (probably just due to my mind having to interpret it and that being easiest).

As I opened my eyes I saw a black ball that disappeared quickly as well as losing the sense that something was there, which caused me to say something in irritation. It was probably along the lines of "oh, fuck off." Then it turned out that somehow the black ball thing was an afterimage from looking at a light, but I was sleeping in a dark room so I have no idea how that happened. Once I realized it wasn't whatever was there, I sort of mentally retracted my upset.

After that I closed my eyes for a moment and saw text clear enough to read. The only things said were "Okay" and "I will leave" with weird styling around the text. It went double chevron pointing towards the text, dash, the text itself, then another dash, and another double chevron that pointed towards the text. "Okay" came first and was the only thing I could see, then "I will leave" was next and there wasn't anything else I could see after that.

After all of that I didn't sense anything around me, and I can't remember if I went back to sleep or got up and did stuff, but I do remember having a weird nightmare somewhere in there.

I had just before going to sleep told somebody how I am able to change the story of my nightmares to ones where I win. Typically this is achieved by killing whatever the issue is, often in some sort of graphic way like decapitation or crushing their skull. Then of course while I was sleeping I had a nightmare with no specific enemy, just things going wrong in ways that I could do nothing about, which sucked.

Anyway, the whole point of this was to say that I think a spirit or sorcerer is training me. All of those metallic green beings seemed like puppets to me when I attacked them, and all of the attacks against me didn't seem to harm me at all either, they were just scary and made me want to fight and fix it.

I can't say if I'm right or wrong on this, but with how I seemed to progress a decent bit in some ways and how fine I am now, and how it spoke to me in writing, I have good reason to believe it's something trying to train me and be helpful. I've also had something using flies to keep me awake when needed, and I wonder if it's the same thing.

When I talked to my mom about it she said it sort of seemed like a final test from whatever it was, and that makes sense to me too. Seeing if I could react quickly and defend myself from a strong opponent, though I never actually fought anything when I woke up.

It wasn't there again when I went to sleep after writing this, so it seems it meant it when it said it was going to leave. There's plenty of other things in this house though. I saw a wisp the three nights ago, and there was a ghost or spirit sort of thing that I sensed in the kitchen a while ago. The house itself seems to have a spirit of its own too, which I find interesting.
